Dr. Maurice A. Salama completed his undergraduate studies at the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1985, where he received his BS in Biology. Dr. Salama received his DMD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, where he later received his dual specialty certification in Orthodontics and Periodontics, as well as implant training at the Branemark Center at Penn. He was awarded the George Coslet and Richard Chase Scholarships at the University of Pennsylvania during his post-doctoral studies. Dr. Salama is currently on the faculties of the University of Pennsylvania and the Medical College of Georgia as Clinical Assistant Professor of Periodontics.
Dr. Salama has completed an ADA accredited hospital-based General Practice Residency at Maimonides Medical Center in New York City. In 1988 he had the opportunity to further broaden his clinical horizons through externships at Hebrew University in Jerusalem and Beth Israel Hospital in New York City. DAVID GARBER, DMD

Dr. David Garber has a dual appointment at the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry, in Augusta Georgia, as Clinical Professor in the Department of Periodontics, as well as Clinical Professor in the Department of Oral Rehabilitation. He is also on the faculty of Louisiana State University as Visiting Professor in the Department of Prosthodontics.
Dr. Garber graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with post-doctoral training in both Periodontics and fixed Prosthodontics (periodontal prosthetics). Prior to his coming to Atlanta, he was Director of Crown and Bridge, and the Director of the Group Clinical Practice.
He lectures extensively on multi-disciplinary approaches to optimizing esthetics. The programs integrate restorative dentistry and periodontic implants in developing total dental-facial harmony. Dr. Stephen Chu received his doctoral degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1984 and his master’s degree in restorative dentistry and certificate in post-graduate Fixed Prosthodontics from the University of Washington School of Dentistry in 1986. He subsequently obtained his dental technician certification in dental ceramics in 1996 and ASMDT status in 1998 at New York University College of Dentistry. He is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Implant Dentistry, Director of the Advanced CDE Program in Aesthetic Dentistry at New York University College of Dentistry, Associate Professor and Director of Esthetic Education at Columbia University and Prosthodontic Section Editor for PPAD [Practical Procedures and Aesthetic Dentistry, Montage Media Corp.].
Dr. Chu maintains a private practice with Dr. Dennis Tarnow in New York City [New York Center for Specialized Dentistry] in aesthetic, restorative, and implant dentistry. Dr. Chu is a contributor to The Science and Art of Porcelain Laminate Veneers, authored by Dr. Galip Gurel (Quintessence Publishing, 2003), The Fundamentals of Esthetic Implant Dentistry, authored by Dr. Abdelsalam Askary (Blackwell Publishing 2007), and Contemporary Esthetic Dentistry authored by Drs. Dr Gluckman completed his dental training at the university of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg in 1990. After spending a number of years in a general practice he completed a 4-year full time degree in Oral Medicine and Periodontics at the University of Stellenbosch in Cape Town, which he completed with distinction in 1998. He was intimately involved in the development of the postgraduate diploma in Implantology at both the University of Stellenbosch and later at the University of Western Cape. He is currently in full time private practice in Cape Town He is the director of the Implant and Aesthetic Academy, which is a private post graduate training facility in South Africa currently providing a complete postgraduate training program in Implantology in South Africa. The Academy is accredited by The University of Frankfurt. He has been involved in Implantology training for 18 years.
Dr Gluckman was the author of a monthly Implantology corner for the South African Dental Journal and is the immediate past president of the South African Society for dental Implantology and on the board of the Southern African Association of Osseointegration (SAAO). He has served as the secretary of the South African society of Periodontics. He has lectured extensively nationally and internationally and is a member of Dentsply/Friadent's Master Speakers Program. Dr. Craig M. Misch graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. He then received postgraduate certificates in prosthodontics and oral implantology as well as a Master of Dental Science degree from the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Misch acted as Co-Director of the University of Pittsburgh Oral Implantology Center until he entered specialty training in oral and maxillofacial surgery. He completed this residency in 1999 and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery as well as Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology. He currently practices as a dual specialist in Sarasota, Florida.
Dr. Misch is a Clinical Associate Professor at New York University in the Department of Implant Dentistry and at the University of Florida in the Departments of Periodontics and Prosthodontics. Dr. Misch is a member of the editorial boards of International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Implants, International Journal of Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry, Implant Dentistry and the Journal of Oral Implantology. He has authored over 45 publications including 14 textbook chapters. Dr. Misch lectures extensively on the topics of reconstructive surgery, bone grafting, implant surgery and prosthodontics and has been designated as a “Leader in Continuing Education” by Dentistry Today. DENNIS P. TARNOW, DDS

Dennis P. Tarnow is currently Clinical Professor of Periodontology and Director of Implant Education at Columbia School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Tarnow has a certificate in Periodontics and Prosthodontics and is a Diplomat of the American Board of Periodontology. He is a recipient of the Master Clinician Award from the American Academy of Periodontology and Teacher of the Year Award from New York University. Dr. Tarnow has a private practice in New York City, and has been honored with a wing named after him at New York University College of Dentistry. He has published over one hundred articles on perio-prosthodontics and implant dentistry and has coauthored three textbooks including one in 2008 titled Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry. Dr. Marcus Abboud graduated from the University of Bonn (Germany) in 1996 and started his Prosthodontic residency there in 1997. In 2000 he received his Doctorate in Prosthodontics. From 2001 - 2003 he worked in the Department of Dental Research (Material Science) at the University before joining the Oral Surgery Certificate Program in 2003. He successfully completed the program in 2007. Furthermore, he received his Expert Certification in CBCT Technology and Diagnostics in 2010 from the Dental Medical Association Nordrhein. Dr. Abboud has authored many publications, including research articles and book chapters. He has lectured extensively on CAD/CAM technology, digital dentistry, implantology, bone grafting, guided surgery and CBCT/CT diagnostic imaging. He has given many training courses on new technologies for implant treatment and has been involved in research for over 14 years. He has acted as a consultant for different manufacturers regarding new digital technologies and implantology. He holds many patents, being used in various countries, which provide new digital solutions for dentistry. Dr. Abboud joined the Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine (NY, USA) in 2011 as the Founding Chair of the Department of Prosthodontics and Digital Technology. HENRY SALAMA, DMD

Dr. Salama received his post-doctoral specialty certificates in both periodontics and periodontal-prosthesis, fixed prosthodontics from the University of Pennsylvania. He is the former director of the Implant Research Center, at the University of Pennsylvania, where he taught as a Clinical Assistant professor in the Department of Periodontics for over 20 years.
Dr. Salama is currently in private practice in Atlanta, Georgia, and Linwood, New Jersey, limited to advanced restorative and implant therapy. His clinical research activities focus on long-term stability of esthetic soft tissue enhancement techniques, as well as immediate and early loading of root form implants. Read More
